They made us do it,
They made us chase it,
As if when we got to it,
We would have a place we fit,

They made us do it,
See this end goal like the be-all,
Like nothing matters until then,
Like holding it is when we matter,

They made us do it,
Have this drive to run for it,
They gave us fuel in the form of validation,
That only came for a fire already burning,

They made us do it,
Want nothing but these titles,
Because they define respect,
And everyone looks good dressed in respect,

They made us do it,
So much so we began to do it to ourselves,
We would check it to benchmark,
Attach ourselves only to those with it,

They made us do it,
Title ourselves so we feel worth,
The 6-foot block of dirt we will fill,
Woe is you, the untitled.
