I swear I see all the good,
Tripping on hallucinogens,

The drug of choice,
Hope,

I see the good past the edge,
The horizon line flattened out,
The lost depth of it all,
Flatline,

I see the good past the now,
A few steps from my running soul,
Just a hair out of reach,
Fingertips,

I see the good past the promise,
An unsaid contract with satisfaction,
No paper trail guarantee of joy,
Sorrows,

I see the good past the oblivion,
Promises of land beyond the waves,
Still, I drown in the fallacies,
Mirage
