LONELINESS

Today, loneliness visited me,
Walked through the door,
Like she had the key all along,
Like she lived here too,
She brought along with her,
The company misery sought,
Today I am not alone,
I am not alone here

Today, loneliness visited me,
Sat beside me and watched the moon,
We both wondered why,
The stars left her alone in the sky,
She brought along with her,
An emptiness she had bought,
Today I am not free,
I am not free here

Today, loneliness visited me,
Her visits were no longer,
Few and far in between,
Like she craved my presence,
She brought along with her,
The wars my past fought,
Today I am not weak,
I am not weak here,

Today, loneliness visited me,
And when I say she visited,
What I really mean to say is,
She came home.
