Learning to find anew,
Like the sun finds the sky at dawn,
Like the sea finds the beach at high tide,

Like the eraser forgives the graphite,

Like the picture in a tiny necklace locket,
Like the memories held in notes of a song,

Learning to embolden,
Like a painter’s brush on a canvas,
Like a meek man training for war,

Learning in the school of life,
